Welcome welcome!

I always look forward to this first week. The energy is strong, but best of all I get to meet you and/or get to know you better. We have people from coast to coast and north to south here. We’re all doing this for different reasons. We’re all in different phases of life. We all have different life and daily challenges. I love the motivation I get from each participant. So share share share!

On that note, I over ate all Christmas break long. And it was fabulous. We’re still living the uber-frugal student-life and so I loved all the luxuries ice-cream, chips, candy, exotic fruits and fresh rolls from store bakeries, mmm. But now it’s January and it gets dark in Seattle at 4:00 pm and my first reaction to being tired is to feel fat. It destroys my self-esteem. Naturally my tummy is going to grow (pregnant) but I can control other aspects of my health/self-image.

I’m excited for this challenge; I had a strong impression New Year’s Eve that I need to prepare myself physically, emotionally and spiritually for this year. We’re having our third in May. My husband graduates from his dual master’s program in June. And in July? We have no clue—the great unknown. So these daily habits need to be my backbone. Now I just need to make it happen. So watch out, I’m going to be competitive this time round. You've been warned.

Oh, and we live in north Seattle, my husband attends UW, we have 2 kids (Wally age 3 and Adele age 1.8), I love chocolate, reading, and I day dream about sleep.

  2. Good morning everyone!! I've never done one of these before and I am really excited to start this. I have a 4 year old, 2 year old and 3 month old, so....Nicki, if you need a wake up call I can help you there! And Jodi, I'll be joining you on the 30-day shred. I let my kids pick which workout I do, so it mixes things up every day. Good luck everyone!!! :)
