Thanks to Angela for hosting another challenge! They always seem to come at the right time for me.
Angela is my sister-in-law, as in our husbands are brothers, as is Brittany (again, our husbands are all brothers). And Traci is my sister. So it's fun to have a lot of family and friends in on the challenge!
I live in Dallas and have three active boys (ages 6, 4, and almost 2). And I'm expecting a little girl in April.
After going on a kidless airplane ride (truly something to experience post-kids!) and sitting next to a really interesting mom of 3 girls (we literally talked the whole flight), I read her blog and decided that I wasn't going to use this pregnancy as an excuse to let things fall apart. I really wish I could have lost those last 5 pounds before becoming pregnant again this time, but sometimes the Lord's timing is a little quicker/slower than we had in mind. So I'm ignoring those extra starting pounds....but also trying not to pack on more than I really need to. (And right now I about at that limit -- with three months to go!). So my main goal is to slooooow down the inevitable weight gain while doing it in a healthy, positive way.
Looking forward to the challenge!
Hi Jen, Happy to see you again. Congratulations on your pregnancy as well & good luck!
ReplyDeleteAwesome attitude Jen! I wish that I had thought the same way with my first one - I gained 60 lbs because I just let go. That was a long hard road getting back down. Being smart with your eating during pregnancy makes all the difference. I was very careful with my second and only gained 30 lbs (although, as you can tell from my post, I still have more than I want to take off :)). I also felt so much better for much of the pregnancy. Congratulations on the little girl!
ReplyDeleteGood luck Jen! Love you! :)
