So...this morning was one of those mornings. I woke up to find that our heater was broken (the one that heats the house) and it was a chilly 64 degrees inside. Notwithstanding the frigidity in the home, my 4 and 2 year olds stripped down to their undies/diaper and ran circles in the living room. Now, don't panic. We usually keep it at 67 at night, and it only gets up to 70 during the day, so it wasn't too bad, but it was cold. I was also tired, and really didn't want to exercise. Then I thought of all of you, and this challenge, and decided that I could muster up some energy to do a low-key exercise video. Then, after a minute or so of thinking I remembered Jodi, who is doing Jillian Michael's 30-day shred every day, and decided that I could muster up a bit more energy and do something that challenged me. Of course, my kids picked "level 3" of the 30-day shred for me today, but it was great. So, THANK YOU everyone!!!
p.s. Jodi - if you haven't noticed already, she doesn't stretch your hips or your tricepts after she's done. I usually just add those in, otherwise I can barely walk because my hips are so tight. :)
Traci, I think you said you're in SLC?? What a day...and not a good one to have your heater break. :( Good job for doing the video. I'm only on level 1, but I haven't been able to walk up/down stairs or sit down like a normal person since Monday. It started getting a little bit better today, but yes, her stretching in the video is not enough. Oddly enough, I've found that I've become less sore by continuing to do the video. Day 4 tonight! :)
ReplyDeleteAnd...I have to agree. Today, I really didn't want to go to the gym, but I did it...mostly because I feel like I'd be letting you all down. So, I'll piggyback on the thank you to EVERYONE.
PS - Traci, hopefully you (or anyone else in the SLC area) didn't have any errands to run tonight. I left the gym at 4:30 and didn't get home until 6:45! Horrible weather.
